About Brian Beckcom

Brian Beckcom is one of America’s leading trial lawyers, as well as a computer scientist, philosopher, and lifelong student of leadership and human behavior. As co-founder of VB Attorneys, he has built one of the nation’s top trial law firms and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. Brian has helped clients recover hundreds of millions of dollars in landmark cases, including the Maersk Alabama hijacking that inspired the Tom Hanks film Captain Phillips and the kidnapping of Captain Wren Thomas by Nigerian mercenaries. His work has been featured on Good Morning America, Nightline, and in The New York Times.

Beyond the courtroom, Brian is a thinker and storyteller dedicated to exploring what makes great leaders thrive under pressure. On Lessons from Leaders, he sits down with world-class leaders from business, sports, the military, and technology to uncover the habits, failures, and philosophies that shape their success.

Brian is an honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and holds degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy from Texas A&M University, where he was also a varsity basketball player and Corps of Cadets leader. He is a single-digit golfer, fly fisherman, martial artist, author, dad, and husband.
